Breath is a beautiful self-healing tool that is powerful and free and available to you at all times for self – healing.  It allows life force and healing energy to flow throughout your nervous system and connection to your heart centre.  Living life through our hearts allows flow, softness and compassion in our day to day lives.

The latest research from the Institute of HeartMath has found that there is ‘a nervous system pathway that carries signals from the heart to the brain, as well as one that carries messages from the brain to the heart.  The heart actually sends more signals to the brain than the brain sends to the heart!

Imagine living your life through your ‘feeling’ heart instead of your ‘thinking’ brain.  I can guarantee that there would be more love, peace and happiness in your world.

For optimal health and healing let’s activate the heart centre.

Heart breathing to open up your heart centre

  1. Lie down and close your eyes.
  2. Put your hand over your heart and focus your attention into that area.
  3. Breathe deeply but normally and feel as if your breath is coming in and out of your heart area.
  4. Begin to regulate your breathing to a count of six.
  5. Breathe for a count of six seconds into your heart space.
  6. Breathe for a count of six seconds out of your heart space.
  7. Keep breathing in for six and breathing out for six.
  8. Focus on your heart area and feel the relaxation and connection.

Notice how you feel after practicing this technique.  Self- healing can be so simple but yet so powerful.

In my healing retreats and workshops, the focus is on healing, releasing any tension and trauma that has been stored in the body and connecting to the natural self healing waves that are inside us all.

From this space healing from many diseases and illnesses are possible.
